KB Leaders Weekend is open to all Youth Leadership teams. Please register as a church.

In the busyness of youth ministry, it’s easy to get caught up in programmes, planning, and problem-solving. But at the heart of it all—above the events, the strategies, and even the leadership—is Jesus.
This weekend is about re-centering on Jesus, refocusing our hearts and ministries, and remembering that everything we do is for His glory.

Sarah Beisly
The Loyal Workshop
Sarah grew up in West Auckland and now calls the mighty Waikato home. Between those two chapters, she spent 10 years living in India with her husband Paul and their two kids. While there, they founded The Loyal Workshop—a business dedicated to providing alternative employment for women trapped in the sex trade. Sarah is passionate about seeking God’s justice, loves being immersed in nature, and never passes up a good op shop treasure hunt.

Sam Kilpatrick
Carey Baptist College
Sam loves ministry with young people. In fact, it is fair to say that ministry with young people has been the primary focus of his life for over 20 years, in places such as Manurewa, Hillsborough, East and Central Auckland. Sam is the Youth Ministry Programme Lead and Lecturer at Carey Baptist College, chairs the eldership at Royal Oak Baptist Church, and is also part of the intermediate ministry leadership team there. When he is not doing those things, Sam loves to run.

Aimee Mai
Wilberforce Foundation
Aimee grew up in Gisborne but these days she and her husband Ben are based in Māngere, South Auckland, where life’s busy with their twin toddlers. She spent over a decade working with Christians Against Poverty, including eight years as CEO. These days, she juggles mum life with her role as an Advisor to the Wilberforce Foundation. Aimee loves Jesus and is passionate about seeing people experience new life with Him.

Ethan Miller
Baptist Churches of New Zealand
Ethan’s the National Youth Catalyst for the Baptist Churches of Aotearoa and leads the Baptist Youth Ministries (BYM) team. He gets to work alongside incredible youth leaders all over the country and has a front row seat to what Jesus is doing in young people’s lives. He’s been in youth work his whole adult life—running youth groups, mentoring rangatahi and working in schools. Ethan loves Jesus and is passionate about seeing young people discipled well.
